Privacy notice

Last updated: 1 November 2026

This notice explains how Seren Skinn Ltd uses personal information collected through the Séviane pre-launch website, email list and enquiries.

Who we are

Séviane is a brand of Seren Skinn Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 17212796. Our registered office is 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ.

Seren Skinn Ltd is the controller of your personal information. For privacy questions, to exercise your rights or to make a complaint, email hello@seviane.com.

Email signups

If you join our email list, we use your email address and signup and confirmation records to send you Séviane launch news and occasional marketing emails. These records may include your IP address, the time you signed up and confirmed, and where your signup came from. Our lawful basis for sending marketing emails is your consent.

We use Buttondown to manage the list and send emails. After you submit the form, your details are stored and we send a confirmation email. You must click its confirmation link before receiving marketing emails.

Signing up is optional. You are not legally or contractually required to provide your information, but we need your email address to send you updates. You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in a marketing email or by emailing hello@seviane.com. This stops future marketing emails and does not affect processing carried out lawfully beforehand.

Email privacy

We do not track whether you open our emails or which marketing links you click. Email-open and click tracking are switched off in our Buttondown account.

Buttondown still keeps records needed to deliver emails, manage subscriptions and protect the service. These include confirmation and unsubscribe records, delivery failures and security checks. Confirmation and unsubscribe links record the action you request; we do not use them to monitor how you read our marketing emails.

Our lawful basis for necessary delivery, security and list-administration records is our legitimate interest in operating a reliable email service, preventing abuse and respecting your preferences. We retain relevant consent records where necessary to meet our legal obligations.

Enquiries

If you email us, we use your email address, any name you provide and your message to reply and manage your enquiry. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.

You do not have to provide this information, but we need a working email address to reply. Emailing us does not sign you up to marketing.

Website and service security

Our website and email providers may process technical information, such as IP addresses, request records and security or delivery logs, to operate, troubleshoot and protect their services. Where we are responsible for this processing, our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in maintaining secure and reliable services.

How we protect your information

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information. These include using service providers with appropriate security measures, secure (HTTPS) connections when you submit information through our signup form, and password-protected accounts. We limit access to your information to people who need it for the purposes described in this notice.

Who we share information with

We use service providers for the purposes described in this notice, including:

We may also share information with professional advisers or public authorities where necessary to meet legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and external services

This pre-launch website does not set analytics or advertising cookies and does not load fonts from Google. It does not load a Buttondown script or embedded Buttondown page when you visit.

When you submit the signup form, your details are sent to Buttondown and your browser continues to its signup response. Buttondown may use security and verification measures on its own pages. Its privacy information explains its processing.

Instagram and other external links take you to separate services with their own privacy information. Before introducing additional cookies or similar technologies that require consent, we will explain them and obtain the necessary consent.

International transfers

Buttondown and Cloudflare are based in the United States and may use providers in other countries. For transfers requiring protection under UK data protection law, we use applicable UK adequacy arrangements or appropriate contractual safeguards.

Buttondown’s data processing agreement provides for the EU Standard Contractual Clauses supplemented by the UK Addendum for transfers from the UK. Email hello@seviane.com for details of relevant transfers and how to obtain a copy of applicable safeguards.

How long we keep information

Your rights

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your information; restrict its use; object to processing based on legitimate interests; and receive certain information in a portable format. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing carried out lawfully beforehand.

You can object to direct marketing at any time, and we will stop using your information for that purpose.

Some rights apply only in particular circumstances. Requests are normally free, and we normally respond within one month. If a lawful extension or exception applies, we will explain this. Email hello@seviane.com to make a request.

We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have used your personal information, email hello@seviane.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, investigate without undue delay, keep you informed and explain the outcome.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this notice

We will update this notice when our use of personal information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
